Charlie Card
Oh, and the change to Charlie Card's on the T is great! It's easier to have a prepaid card that you "swipe" then to worry about exact change. Although, I'm not sure if there is a machine to put more money on at every stop (although I could be wrong), which makes it tricky to plan your trip if you don't have enough money. BUT...with that said, you can still use cash, but its $2 cash per ride, as opposed to $1.80 per ride with the card. So far no problems!
Well yesterday was a looong day of 2, 3-hour classes and then a sorority meeting. I thought that Jose would be all moved in when I got back from my meeting, but he wasn't even there! I had left him a note on a white-board on the fridge, and he had erased it and wrote that he was hanging out at a friends house until I got back, so to call him.
So I called him and about an hour later I hear a knock on the door., followed by it being unlocked. Then I hear "hellOOoo"...like "Luuucyyy"..he has a strong Spanish accent. In walks this 5' 6-7" guy! Anyway, we introduced ourselves and made small talk for like half an hour. Then he told me he had a gift for me! He brought me rum from Puerto Rico by his family! I guess it goes back a long time, but he is (closely?) related to the manufacturer of this rum! So I thought that was really nice, and felt bad that I didn't have anything for him except a sulfur-smelling fridge because I made hard-boiled eggs for this stupid diet that I want to quit already hahaha. So then he left to go out for the night and I havn't seen him since! All in all, he was extremely polite and courteous. He said that he would pitch in money for anything that we needed, and that the reason he wasn't at the apt. when I got there was because he didn't want to scare me or make me nervous by being there when I showed up. So that was nice! I think everything will work out fine...I hope!
So today I had an orientation to my psych clinical. I learned that the hospital I will be going to is the most acute out of all the groups, and that I will see the most mentally diseased people! So hopefully I will have lots of stories! Tomorrow I have an orientation to find out about my maternity clinical...so I'll get to play with babies and give postpartum exams! Definitely an interesting semester.
Ok, well I'm going to the cafeteria now to try and find something that I can eat :( It's hard to do this when you don't see any results for 2 days hahaha. I'm sure I'll get bored and write again soon!

Sunday
Today I slept until 1pm! That never happens! Then I woke up and made my shopping list for my new diet...the south beach diet! I spent alot of money...none of which went to carbs :( So hopefully I will lose alot of weight from this difficult diet plan. After I went to the store I met some of my sorority sisters at a bowling alley/pool hall/restaurant/bar at Fenway, called Jillian's. A couple of us left early and took a cab to Cold Stone (since I am starting the diet tomorrow and won't be able to eat ice cream). We saw the STRANGEST person while eating our ice cream in the mall and people watching. Before I tell this story, let me say that I am not at all making fun of this person...so anyway...There was what looked like a "small person" in a wheel chair coming in our direction, except all there was, was a head! It was a GIANT head and we couldn't even see a body, and then we saw small feet. Then, riding on the back of the wheel chair was what looked like a normal person, and then a blind lady walking behind them, and behind her was a man with some type of disorder. They were probably on an outing together, but we could NOT figure out the first man! It was so sad!
So anyway, now I am at home watching TV and getting ready for bed. I hope everything is great where you are!
