Let's all take a moment to remember MLK, and thank him for giving us the day off school!
Ok, well since last Wednesday, I actually haven't done much! After class on Friday I lounged around, and then went to go see 27 Dresses with some sorority sisters. It was a really cute movie!
Then on Saturday I slept in a lounged around until 2:30, when I went to go meet sorority sisters to volunteer at Rosie's Place. It's not a shelter or soup kitchen, but a "sanctuary". It's a place for only women and their children: girls anytime, and boys up to age 11. They come for lunch and dinner, as well as to talk with "Advocates" (which I think are similar to life coaches or counselors), participate in a theater program, and other activities. I think that it's a nice way for women who are at risk in their homes to have a safe and healthy place to escape to...that can help them grow, in addition to providing a place to eat and sleep.
Then on Sunday I slept in a little and then met Alison for brunch. Stephanie and I met her on our Hungary trip! She was in our volunteer group, and it turned out that she goes to Boston College. So we try to keep in touch and get together every once in a while. After that I came back to my apartment and did some homework and watched the Pat's game. I can't believe that I will be up here for them to go to the Superbowl! A good year for New England sports. Then I met my little (in my sorority) at P. F. Chang's for dinner. I had never been there and it was really good! Then we braved the FREEZING cold and came back to my apartment to hang out and do homework/watch TV haha.
So now it's MLK day, and I am actually needing to crack down on school work that I have been putting off all weekend. Sooo I guess I''ll start that now! Also, I have another meeting in regards to my coop tomorrow so wish me luck!

I enjoyed the description of your first Jose sighting and the recommendations for Boston's finest establishments for great entertainment and margaritas! I'm eager to hear of the interesting people/patients you meet during your clinicals. It sounds like fascinating environments...and so different!!
Have fun!
